How do I get to Tripos Court?
Flagship are able to organise a taxi transfer from the airport if you require this. To book an airport transfer please email TriposCourtBookings@Flagship-Group.co.uk. Tripos Court is situated within a 10 minute walk from Cambridge train station, so you could choose to take a train and walk from the station.
If I need help, who do I ask?
A member of staff will be available to help you with any questions during your stay. Further information will be given to you on arrival.
Can I smoke in my room?
Smoking is not allowed inside the accommodation, but there are designated smoking areas on site.
Is there a TV in my room?
No, we don’t provide TVs in rooms. You can buy your own TV, but you would need to purchase a TV licence. https://www.tvlicensing.co.uk/
Do I need to purchase a TV licence?
If you use your smart devices to watch live TV, to access pre-recorded TV programmes on apps such as ITV player, I-player and All 4, or if you purchase your own TV you will be required to purchase a TV licence. https://www.tvlicensing.co.uk/
If you use your smart devices for gaming, to watch Netflix or to watch Amazon Prime Video then you will not be required to purchase a TV licence.
Do I need to buy kitchen utensils?
Here’s everything you’ll find in our kitchens: breakfast bar stools, a sofa, bean bags, fridge freezers, a large oven, oven gloves and heat proof mats; kettle, toaster, microwave, cleaning equipment, baking trays, including pizza tray and casserole dish; saucepans, including frying pans and a wok; crockery, pasta bowls, cutlery, glasses and mugs; kitchen knives, colander, sieve, chopping boards, grater, tin opener; cooking utensils, including bottle opener, garlic crusher, vegetable peeler, tongs, etc; iron and ironing board; mop, bucket and brush….
……..you just need to bring your food – and your cooking skills!
Do you provide a cleaning service?
Our all-inclusive option includes a weekly room clean, change of bed linen and towels. Kitchen and communal areas are cleaned five times a week. Students are expected to do their own washing up and tidy the kitchen following use.
Our Independent option does not include weekly room clean or a change of bed linen and towels. Kitchen and communal areas are cleaned five times a week. Students are expected to do their own washing up and tidy the kitchen following use. Weekly room cleans can be purchased at any time from the Accommodation Manager in the Tripos Court office.
Are there laundry facilities on site?
Yes, there is a laundry on site with washing machines and dryers. The laundry is open 24 hours a day, 7 days week, with washing machines costing £2.60* per wash and dryers costing £2.00* per cycle. Washing detergent and fabric softener not provided.

Can I park a car at Tripos Court?
There are no parking facilities at Tripos Court.
What security is there on site?
Tripos Court is a secure gated site, where students are issued with an electronic key fob to gain access to the site and their accommodation. The site is monitored using CCTV and security guards.
Is there anywhere where I can keep my valuables?
Yes, there is a safe in your room.
Do Flagship insure my belongings?
No, you must ensure you have an insurance policy which covers the value of your belongings throughout the period of your stay at Tripos Court.
Do Flagship provide personal accident and health insurance?
No, you must ensure you have an insurance policy which provides medical health cover throughout the period of your stay at Tripos Court.
Will I need an adaptor for my electrical equipment?
The power plugs and sockets in England are 'type G', where the standard voltage is 230 Volts and the standard frequency is 50 Hertz. You will need to purchase a travel adaptor if your electrical equipment is not fitted with a 'type G' plug.
Can I stay at Tripos Court before or after my course?

Can I extend my accommodation booking?
Yes, depending on availability. Please e-mail TriposCourtBookings@Flagship-group.co.uk to request an extension to your booking.
Can I buy a starter pack?
Yes, you can buy a starter pack at the point of booking. The starter pack will be in your room when you arrive on site.
I have an Independent Package. Can I upgrade to an all-inclusive package?
Yes. Please e-mail TriposCourtBookings@Flagship-group.co.uk to request an upgrade.
When can I arrive at Tripos Court?
You can arrive any time from midday (12noon) up to 9:30 pm and you will be met by a member of staff. From 9.30pm onwards you will be met by the security guard on duty, checked into your room and a member of staff will meet you the following day.
When do I have to leave Tripos Court?
You must vacate your room by 10 am on the day of departure.
Can I cancel my booking before arrival?
If you cancel your booking more than two weeks before your arrival date, you will receive a full refund.
If you cancel your booking less than two weeks before your arrival date, you will be charged a two-week cancellation fee.
Can I cancel my booking during my stay?
Yes you can, but we require two-weeks’ notice from the following Saturday. We will keep two weeks rent and will refund you for the remainder of your booking.
Can I book if I am under 18?
No, all residents must be aged 18 or older.
Does Tripos Court suit mature students?
Yes, we have a policy whereby visitors must leave site by 10pm and that students behave responsibly and respectfully.
Can I have an overnight guest?
Our policy is that residents cannot have an overnight guest stay in their room. You can, however, book a separate room for your guest if there is availability. Please e-mail TriposCourtBookings@Flagship-group.co.uk to request a room for an overnight guest.
Am I allowed a visitor?
Yes, guests can visit you up to 10pm.
