A village development in the rural heart of Norfolk has seen construction completed on its final homes, with the majority of the new homes having already welcomed new residents.
Crown View, in Great Ellingham near Attleborough in Norfolk, is a 60-home site by local developer Flagship Homes, part of Bromford Flagship. The site is split evenly with 30 shared ownership and 30 affordable rent properties. Sarah Davies, new homes sales advisor for Flagship Homes, says that there has been a huge amount of demand for these new homes, reflecting the need in the area.
Ms Davies said: “We’ve had such a wide range of interest all the way through the scheme, from first time buyers to people at all different stages of their lives looking for new homes. There’s really been so much demand, and we’re happy to be able to provide homes to people who need them.
Crown View began welcoming its first new residents in summer 2024, and almost all the shared ownership properties have now been sold. Similarly, the majority of the affordable rent homes have also been allocated to families on local council waiting lists.

The site has come together just 18 months after construction began in October 2023. Thanks to the innovative i-House technology used in the homes’ construction, build times for principal contractor Lovell have been reduced by an estimated 40% compared to traditional construction methods.
Oleg Barsoukov, senior delivery project manager at Flagship Homes, said: “We’re really proud of Crown View. It demonstrates such a high standard of quality and innovation, using environmentally sustainable materials throughout, and we hope this stands as a blueprint for developing affordable homes with cutting-edge technology.”
Each home was also designed with energy efficiency in mind, thanks to air source heat pumps and solar panels. The development was also supported by Homes England, who provided grant funding, as well as local authority Breckland Council.
Ms Davies added: “There’s already such a great community here. The feedback we’ve had has been positive, and everyone loves their new homes.”
