Sarah Tann, Flagship Homes sales and marketing manager, presents pupils (L-R) Piper, Eadie, Freya & Isla from Bacton Primary School with a cheque for £250
Pupils at a Suffolk primary school are benefitting from a donation from a local housing developer.
Flagship Homes, part of Bromford Flagship, donated £250 to Bacton Primary School after the school asked local businesses for help to buy tablet computers for its pupils.
Donna Hughes, Nicola Hitter, and Siobhan Smith, members of the Bacton Primary School parent-teacher association Friends of Bacton Primary, expressed their thanks on behalf of the whole school for the donation.
They said: “We are extremely grateful to Flagship Homes who, without hesitation, offered a generous donation to us which will be put towards purchasing tablets. These tablets will be used by the children to access a wide range of educational resources, which will in turn massively enhance their learning.”
Bacton Primary School teaches almost 70 students, between the ages of two and 11 from preschool up to Year 6.
Rosie Mann, sales and marketing co-ordinator at Flagship Homes, said: “Flagship Homes is committed not just to building homes, but contributing to the local communities we operate in. We’re so happy to have contributed to the furthering of the standard of education in Bacton, and to give something back to the area.”
The village of Bacton is also home to The Fields, a 51-home, £11 million Flagship Homes development. The site is a mix of two to four-bedroom homes and bungalows, with outright sale and affordable rent homes available. Around a fifth of the homes are now occupied, with the remaining number anticipated to be filled by spring 2026.
